The Holiday season offers an excellent opportunity to reflect on the successes of the past year, while also looking forward to the opportunities of the next. Here at Bandura, we are celebrating a year of achievements in 2020 and gearing up to make 2021 our best year yet. 

First and foremost, I would like to express my appreciation for the people here at Team Bandura. We are a small group of people who are passionate about building and delivering the very best product to our customers in a smart, simple and scalable way. Our team is the reason Bandura succeeds, and for that I say, “Thank you.” 

In 2020, we saw tremendous growth and a lot of change here at Bandura. When I joined Bandura as CEO in the Fall of 2019, we set a bold new vision and strategy for the company. At the time, no one could have predicted the challenges that 2020 would bring. Like the rest of the world, we suddenly found ourselves quarantining and working from home. Our “new normal” included a new workspace – one we share with kids, pets and spouses. Our daily tasks suddenly grew to include daycare and homeschooling in addition to our day jobs. Button downs were replaced with sweatshirts. Our meetings rooms and hallway conversations were replaced with zoom meetings, dining room tables, kitchen counters and bedroom offices. Through it all, we grew closer as a team, focused on our goals and made it work. 

And, as a result, I am happy to say that we had a very successful year. Here are a few of our many accomplishments in 2020: 

  • We launched a new corporate website with great new functionality – like tools to help you quickly check IP addresses and domains to see if they should be blocked and other resources on how to improve your security posture
  • We grew our product portfolio and expanded our capabilities with the release of several improved and new products, including ThreatBlockr 2.0, a 10 Gbps ThreatBlockr, ThreatBlockr Cloud and ThreatBlockr Anywhere
  • We nurtured our partner ecosystem to deliver over 30M threat indicators  out-of-the-box and support over 150M with integrations to the world’s best commercial, government and industry threat intelligence feeds
  • We established a Customer Success organization focused on ensuring customers achieve their desired outcomes with the ThreatBlockr platform by offering easy to access training and education designed specifically in response to customer feedback
  • We responded quickly to global cyber threats as they occurred, releasing new, real-time threat intelligence in the form of Allowed and Denied lists that protect users, data, and tools from attacks. Within 24 hours of the SolarWinds Attack becoming public, we released two new Automated Denied Lists to protect our customers – and over 30% of our customers adopted the list in less than 48 hours. In doing so, they were immediately protected from all of the real-time data we gathered from the industry and we’re continuing to keep those lists updated in real-time. 

Most significantly, we were very fortunate to grow our customer base significantly in 2020 and for that we are incredibly thankful. We want our customers to know that we appreciate each and every one of you. We are grateful that you have given us the opportunity to secure your networks, data, and users. As your organizations have also navigated the challenges of 2020, we’re honored that you chose us to help you. Whether you’ve been with us for a while – or are new to us in 2020 – our team of security professionals are thankful for your support over the past year and we look forward to many more. We have a lot in store for you in 2021!
